Conakry, 30 November 2022 – Colonel Mamadi DOUMBOUYA, Head of State and President of the Transition of the Republic of Guinea, received at the Presidency the APRM Targeted Review Team led by Ambassador Hamed Araita ALI, Lead APR Panel member for Guinea. He was accompanied by H.E. Nounké Kaba, Permanent Representative of the Republic of Guinea to the African Union, Dr. Rachel Mukamunana, Director, Country Reviews and Assessments, Dr. Valery Yao, Country Coordinator for Guinea, Ms. Arlette Yemek, Panel and Focal Points support Officer, Mr. Hassan Mahamat, Researcher, as well as Prof. Lath Yedo Sébastien and Dr. Faye Saliou.

Conakry, le 30 novembre 2022 – Le Colonel Mamadi DOUMBOUYA, Chef de l’Etat et Président de la Transition de la République de Guinée, a reçu à la Présidence, l’Equipe d’évaluation ciblée du MAEP conduite par l’Ambassadeur Hamed Araita ALI, membre du Panel des Eminentes Personnalités du MAEP en charge de la Guinée, accompagné de SE Nounké Kaba, Représentant Permanent de la République de Guinée à l’Union africaine, du Dr. Rachel Mukamunana, Directrice des Evaluations Pays, du Dr Valery Yao, Coordonnateur Pays de la Guinée, de Mme Arlette Yemek, Officier en charge du Panel et des Points focaux du MAEP, de M. Hassan Mahamat, Chercheur ainsi que des Experts Prof. Lath Yedo Sébastien et du Dr. Faye Saliou. Cette visite s’inscrivait dans le cadre de la restitution des conclusions préliminaires de la mission d’évaluation sur les changements anticonstitutionnels de gouvernement (CAG) en Guinée, tenue du 21 au 30 novembre 2022.

30 November 2022, Nairobi | The APRM continental secretariat in collaboration with the APRM National Secretariat in Kenya organised technical consultations on the forthcoming report on SDG 16 and governance goals of Agenda 2063.

The African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) in collaboration with the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA) Secretariat successfully convened a three (3)-day Continental validation meeting (validation meeting) to consider and validate the African Continental Free Trade Area Implementation Review Mechanism (AfIRM) Proposal. The meeting took place in Cape Town, South Africa from 30th October to 01st November 2022.

The African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) and the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN DESA), in cooperation with UNDP South Africa, the Department of Public Service and Administration of South Africa (DPSA) organized a regional workshop on ‘Strengthening National Institutional Capacities for the UN Decade of Action and Delivery for Sustainable Development and the AU Agenda 2063’.

N’Djamena le 21 octobre 2022 – Une équipe du secrétariat continental du MAEP dirigé par le docteur Honoré Mobonda, paneliste en charge du Tchad, est arrivée à N’Djamena les 15 et 16 octobre 2022 afin d’entamer une évaluation sur les changements anticonstitutionnels de gouvernement.

Cairo, 20 September 2022 | Under the auspices of the Ministry of Planning and Economic Development, the African Peer Review Mechanism was invited to partake in the 4th African Women Leadership Program in Cairo 13-18 September which aims to capacitate African female executives about African Development Agenda and current challenges towards climate change ahead from COP 27.

Naivasha, Kenya, October 2022 – The APRM Continental Secretariat (APRM), the German Development Agency (GIZ) and the NEPAD/APRM Kenya Secretariat (NAKS) organised a two-day Validation Workshop in which various key stakeholders including representatives from Ministries, Departments, representatives of some Counties, Agencies and Non-State Actors in Kenya participated in reviewing and validating the National Governance Report of Kenya (NGR).

The targeted review mission of the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) on unconstitutional changes of government (UCG) ended in Moroni, Union of Comoros, this Friday October 21st, 2022, after the restitution of the preliminary findings by the Head of Mission Dr Ousmane DIALLO to the President of the Republic of the Union of the Comoros, H.E.M Azali Assoumani. The Targeted Review took place from 10 to 20 October 2022.
