March 2021, Kigali, Rwanda - The African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) and the Rwanda Governance Board (RGB) co-hosted a technical meeting on curriculum development for the African Union Governance Campus.

The President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo (DRC), His Excellency Mr. Félix TSHISEKEDI received in audience, at the Cité de l’Union Africaine, a high-level delegation composed of the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Her Excellency Marie Tumba NZEZA, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Continental Secretariat of the APRM, Professor Edward Maloka and the Ambassador of the Republic of South Africa to the DRC, His Excellency Abel Mxolisi Shilubane.

APRM: strengthening national capacities for Voluntary National Reviews and Agenda 2063 Reporting Framework
Djibouti, 23 February 2021 – under the auspice of H.E Mahamoud Ali Youssouf, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Djibouti and APRM Focal Point, the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) in partnership with the GIZ hosted the third APRM Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs) workshop to support national capacities of Africa experts for the preparations of VNRs in 2021 ahead of the high-level political forum (HLPF) 2021.

THE REPUBLIC OF CONGO BECAME THE FIRST COUNTRY TO RECEIVE APRM TECHNICAL SUPPORT ON CREDIT RATINGS
February 2021 – The APRM held its first Capacity Building Workshop with the Republic of Congo, the first African Union Member State to receive technical support in line with the Assembly Decision to support countries in the field of rating agencies.

11 February 2021 The African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM), a specialized entity of the African Union (AU), had a mandate to supports African countries in the area of credit rating agencies. As part of this mandate, the APRM undertakes routine reviews of rating outcomes assigned by international credit ratings agencies on African countries.
