Revalidation of the Liberia Country Review Report

PUBLISHED BY: APRMPOSTED: 24-04-2018

Monrovia, Liberia, 24 April 2018 – Subsequent to the Support Mission hosted by the Government of Liberia on the APR Process in January 2018, His Excellency George Weah, commissioned the APRM Continental Secretariat to facilitate a technical revalidation exercise on the findings of the Liberia Country Review Report (CRR), whose process was undertaken in April 2017.

The technical revalidation exercise aims to ensure that the Government of Liberia takes ownership of the Liberia CRR. Moreover, the technical exercise which will run from 23rd to the 28th April 2018, aims to contextualize the CRR to the new context of the country and further align and reflect the vision and futurized account of the current administration. The National Program of Action (NPOA), a vital component of the Liberia CRR, will feed into Liberia’s National Develop Plan.

The APRM Continental Secretariat team, led by Mr McBride Nkhalamba, held a planning meeting ahead of the technical revalidation Exercise in Monrovia, Liberia. The Deputy Minister for Fiscal Affairs and current Acting Minister of Finance and Development Planning, Hon. Samora Wolokolie, welcomed the Continental Secretariat and the technical revalidation exercise on the Liberia Country Review Report.

The Liberia Country Review Report is scheduled to be presented at the APR Forum of Heads of State and Government in Mauritania, in June 2018.
