11 April 2016– The APRM Task Force met today to prepare for the Senegal Country Review Mission in Dakar, Senegal. The Task Force which comprises of experts in Democracy and Political Governance, Economic Governance and Management, Socio-economic Development and Corporate Governance held a preparatory workshop with the Chairperson of the APR Panel of Eminent Persons and Lead Panel Member for Senegal, Dr. Mustapha Mekideche and APRM CEO Prof. Eddy Maloka.
At the workshop the Task Force familiarized themselves with the APRM Base Documents of the mission, the Country’ Self-assessment Report, Background Paper and further discussed modalities and logistics of the Mission. The Country Review Mission will be officially launched on 12 April 2016 by Senegal Prime Minister H.E Mohammed Dionne.
The Senegalese Mission is the second Country Review Mission out of 4 planned for 2016, following Djibouti and Chad. The Task Force in charge of this Review Mission is expected to conclude its consultative meetings by the end of April 2016.
