PUBLISHED BY: APRMPOSTED: 05-07-2022

Libreville, 30 June 2022 – Following Gabon’s accession to the African Peer Review Mechanism (APRM) in 2003, the national APRM process, which had undergone substantial development, halted in 2011. At the 30th APRM Forum, held virtually on 25 March 2021, Madame Rose Christiane Ossouka RAPONDA, Prime Minister of Gabon, Head of Government, reaffirmed her government’s intention to relaunch the process so that H.E. Ali Bongo ONDIMBA, President of the Republic of Gabon, would receive the country review report at the next APR Forum in 2023. As part of this relaunch, the APRM conducted a support mission to Libreville from 27 June to 1er July 2022, under the leadership of Dr. Ousmane Mamadou DIALLO, APR Panel of Eminent Persons in charge of Gabon, who was accompanied by Dr. Rachel Mukamunana, Director of Country Reviews; Ms. Diana Demba Mutondo, Country Coordinator in charge of Gabon and Dr. Valery Yao, Country Coordinator.
