FREETOWN 23-11-2020. A Field Mission Team led by Ambassador Inonge Mbikusita-Lewanika arrived in Freetown on November 19th, 2020 to conduct a Targeted Review on Public Health Governance and COVID-19 response in the Republic of Sierra Leone until December 1rst 2020.

APRM, MOODY’S AND FITCH SEEK TO BRIDGE THE GAP BETWEEN RATING AGENCIES AND AFRICAN COUNTRIES
October 2020 – The APRM, Fitch and Moody’s held a virtual meeting to discuss the APRM Initiative to Support African countries in the area of Credit Ratings and possible future collaborations with the two rating agencies. The rating agencies expressed interest to collaborate with the APRM to bridge the information gap that exists between rating agencies and African countries.

18th September 2020, the APRM National Governing Council (NGC) of the Republic of South Africa held its second virtual meeting, which was preceded by an induction session hosted by the APRM Continent Secretariat.
Namibia Gearing Up for the Country’s Self-Assessment
In January 2017, Namibia joined the APRM as its 36th African Union member state, and the APRM has grown since then to include 40 African Union countries, with the accession of The Gambia in January 2018, Botswana in February 2019, and Seychelles and Zimbabwe on 08 February 2020.
